Our top 10 favorite video game trailers – cinematic teasers.
For as long as most of us can remember, video game trailers have been a part of the gaming world.
And anyone that has a few gaming years under their belt can attest to how far they’ve progressed!
When you compare any old classic to most of the current game trailers,
it’s apparent how far video technology has progressed.
Although the primary goal of video game trailers has always been to generate excitement and drive sales, let’s be honest: some of them are true pieces of art! Also, nobody would make them if customers didn’t like them and/or if they didn’t serve their purpose! So there’s no need to pretend you don’t get excited every time a new trailer for one of your favorite games is out – we’ve all been there!
Instead, feel free to have a look at some of the most visually stunning and dramatic video game trailers available on this post and try to think which personal best was left out.
So first, a disclaimer: the selections on our list are all subjective, since there is no way to be objective when assessing something like this. However, there were a few factors we looked at while making our decision, including:
Storytelling, world-building, production quality, nostalgia and, of course, preference!
Furthermore, we are aware that there are many more excellent trailers that we were unable to include in such a small list. That’s why, towards the conclusion, we’ve included an additional 8 honorable mentions too.
